Description: Rare and unusual JH Williams snap ring pliers branded Lempco?? It has the Williams standard "W" with a diamond but I'm at loss to why it is branded Lempco. More oddly, I found examples of the exact same tool appropriately branded with JH Williams but also ones with the Mac Tools brand?? I looked for these snap ring pliers in JH Williams old tool catalogues and found they sold snap ring pliers, but they were quite different from this version. So why make this tool and not advertise it? Another oddity, just about all the examples I found, the tip seemed to have been customized. It's a mysterious tool and might be fun to further research why Williams seemed to allow competitors to brand their tool. Mac Tools continued producing these, but the more modern snap rings are absent of the William's mark. Condition is good for its age - nice rustic appeal.
