Upon his discharge from the Navy, he pursued his life's work as an illustrator for the Grit Publishing Company. His true love was nature demonstrated by his fine art works of wildlife and landscapes. His artwork has been seen in numerous books and magazines, including Field & Stream and Pennsylvania Angler. Most noticeable were his years of service with the Pennsylvania Game News, where his artwork donned numerous covers and stories for over 50 years.
