Here is a very hard to find solid bronze medal from the 1901 Pan-American Exposition held in Buffalo New York, set inside an old brass tone frame with glass cover, reminiscent of a Sweetheart brooch. We had the coin professionally removed from the frame so we could photograph it, before the jeweler remounted it. He left the solder marks on back because we did not want him to damage the coin when cleaning them off. The coin does not look like it was ever been polished or cleaned. There is light wear on some of the high parts, as you can see in the photos. There is also an older solder mark on the rim (pictured), so it may have been a pendant that broke and was later mounted in the frame.
