Description: Up for sale is a very scarce pocket ma entitled "Peterson's Maps of the Seat of War'. It includes a map of norther Europe, Italy Austria etc.. Map gives troop counts for various nations and Italy is broken into regions. Unflided map is approximately 33 x 42 inches. Very large. The book itself is roughly 5.5 x 35 inches. I can not find other examples of this piece. Rare collectible map. Overall in good condition. There are some tears at folds of / in the map. Delicate and unfolding it is difficult. Binding has some fraying at spine and bottom. Other dings here and there. Map is circa 1860. Most troop numbers and data points are from 1859 so I am assuming 1860 but I could be off a couple years.
