Description: We have for sale five silver dollars all over 100 years old. this is sold as one lot. There are four Peace Dollars from 1922 Philadelphia mint, Of that, two are graded MS-63 and two are graded MS-64. Then there is a Morgan dollar from New Orleans that grades MS-63. If you purchase these coins, I am quite sure that you will be a great deal. The reason is that these are super nice coins. The MS-64 Peace dollar with a serial number ending in 023 is to my eye, an MS-65. However, prices for grading what they are, it is not economical to send it in for regrading to see if the graders agree. I will advise that coin is super nice. The other MS-64 Peace dollar is not quite as nice BUT, it is still above average for the grade. The two MS-63's would usually have graded 64. All four coins were sent in together and you will see that because the gentle toning on the surfaces matches on all four coins. The Morgan dollar is average for the grade nothing special. A word about me.. I am 77 years old and am disposing of the coins I have collected since I first caught the bug in 1955. These specific five coins were purchased from a dealer in 2005 (19 years ago). I will be offering more auction lots beginning late next week. My name is Steve, but I buy and sell using the name Aerie Numismatics. Details. Gray sheet 'Wholesale' pricing for this lot of five is $329. That is really is wholesale. Ebay will be charging me 10% or more for use of their services. I paid a good deal more than $329, with the intention of re-certifying the coins to upgrade the coins, but the value has not increased to make this a worthwhile investment. Again, these are four premium coins will worth what I paid then and more. One last note, The nicest coin (serial number ending -023 and is graded MS-64. That coin, were it to be re-certified, should grade MS-65. The other coin (also ending in 023) has a crack in the slab or plastic holder. This is not a serious issue. The security function is undiminished. The holder is still tight. So four beautiful coins and one typical coin. $450 will win them all.
