The plant is ready to be planted in a ground or in a container.This is a vine, so it will want something to climb. This can be a trellis, a fence, or even a shrub or tree. The plant has big, purple, really fragrant flowers, it will flower during all summer. It producing edible really tasty fruits. Maypops are native to North America and generally hardy to USDA zone 6.They are perennials. They will die back above ground when it gets cold and then regrow from the roots the following year. If grown in the ground, these plants will spread out through the roots, so they'll start popping up in different places.They can be grown in full sun or part shade. Always retrieve packages from the mail as soon as it is delivered. It is the buyers responsibility to track the package and get it as soon as it is delivered. It will be shipped barefoot with some dirt, but well preserved and moist to prevent root damage. The plant is growing fast so I may need to trim it so I can pack it without bending branches. If your plant arrives badly damaged I will need photo proof within 24 hours of delivery. I will need photos of the box and the plant in order to send out a replacement/refund. A leaf that comes off during shipment or minor branch breakage does not constitute serious damage. I will only replace/refund the plant if it is badly broken, crushed, or DOA. Some wilting and/or yellowing of leaves or leaf loose it normal. Minor branch breakage is normal.Planting InstructionsAfter you receive and unpack your plant, place it in shade and water if the dirt seems too dry. Let it recover from shipping stress for a couple days before planting. Dig a hole that is twice wider than a diameter of a root ball but the same depth. Place it in a hole add a little dirt and water it, keep adding dirt little by little and water periodically while backfilling, it prevent creating air pockets. Make sure that the base of the plant is the same level as surrounding soil level, planting it too deep can suffocate the plant. Water it again and cover surface with the mulch or coconut fiber mulch rings if you decide to plant it in a pot. It will keep the soil moist and prevent from weeds. DO NOT add any fertilizers for at least 2-3 weeks!!!
