ITEM: Original WWI GERMAN Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) of GERMAN KAISER WILHELM II & GENERALS in SPIKED HELMETS (pre or early WWI). RPPC is war booty from Corporal Raymond Congleton. See all scans.. Photo is from Corporal Raymond Congleton of New Philadelphia, Ohio. He was an original member of the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Division fighting in all their battles from Cantigny through the Meuse-Argonne and the Army of Occupation. He was wounded in the hand by shrapnel at Cantigny and was shot three (3) times by Germans in subsequent battles, though none of these wounds were serious or life-threatening. Of the original 250 men in his company, he was among the 24 who survived the war. Congleton was also the most decorated soldier from Tuscarawas County, Ohio during World War I. SORRY.
