Description: The Daily Telegraph NewspaperDecember 23rd 1968Apollo 8 flu alert with astronauts James Lovell and William Anders on boardThis is an ORIGINAL 'broadsheet' newspaper, not a reproductionCOMPLETE with 18 pagesOwned from new by myselfWill be posted folded in half (as originally purchased) and protectedCondition is: 50+ years old but still a reasonably good, tight copy. Been stored folded in half, as originally purchasedIdentified flaws are: See images - some ageing and browning to be expected due to ageComments: 50 years ago I was very interested in space exploration and kept many newspapers dealing with Gemini and Apollo space launches as well as Russian space exploration. I have many, many space related newspapers, principally from the UK but also some foreign papers, which I am now listing individually on eBay. I am happy to combine postage on multiple purchases (but see my comments below if you live overseas and use the Global Shipping Programme)This is a rare opportunity to obtain original, authentic and historic newspapers. Many people will have saved the newspapers from the actual first moon landing, I imagine few will have saved other papers from the time leading up to and subsequent to the landing. Any queries, please ask.Combined postage options are available on multiple purchases. If bidding from overseas you may need to add multiple purchases into a basket and ask for an invoice otherwise eBay's Global Shipping Programme may automatically charge you postage for each item which I have never found a way of over-riding.Many thanks for looking._______________________________________________________________________________Please note that I am not a dealer, buying and selling on eBay. All items are from my own personal collection and most were collected between the 1950's and the 1980's and mostly purchased from new. Items include U.K. comics and annuals, U.S. Marvel and DC comics, bubble gum cards, movie material, movie magazines, newspapers, science fiction books magazines and fanzines, ceramics, TV Times and Radio Times. I am disposing of much of my collections via eBay over the next few years or so. I try to list all items to the best of my ability and in as much detail as possible. Although it is very rare I do sometimes make unintentional mistakes in my listings but I will always try to resolve problems in a manner satisfactory to the buyer. Since commencing on eBay in 2004 I have maintained 100% positive feedback.MAILING: When mailing items I always obtain proof of postage at our local post office. This does offer limited protection to the buyer but if the value of items won is between £20 and £50 it is recommended that you request next Royal Mail Signed For delivery as this provides compensation up to £50 for loss or damage in transit. The cost for this varies on weight and size but as of March 2019 2nd class large letter up to 500 gms would cost £2.92. For a small parcel the cost is £4.00 up to 2kg for 2nd class postage. Above £50 it is recommended you request next day Special Delivery which offers full insurance protection up to £500 for packages that go astray - this normally costs approx £7.40 up to 500 gms, £8.70 for 1 Kg and £11.00 up to 2Kg. If you require either of these options then please let me know prior to checking out and I can confirm how much this will cost.
