Description: Cattleya Orpetii x nodosa This member of the Cattleya Alliance, this BC is cross of Cattleya hybrid Orpetii and Brassavola species nodosa. Has light pink color on petals and lip. Photos are of plants similar to what you will receive, a BS plant growing in 4" pot that may or may not be In Spike. These may be planted in pots or baskets with bark/charcoal mix or can also be mounted on wood, tree fern, cork, driftwood, or here in Fla and similar climate directly onto a tree. They need bright indirect light, treat like other Cattleya. Depending on State Regulations plants may need to be sent bare root or are not certified to send to your area. My handling time ( 5 or 10 business days ) allows for shipping most items at begining of week, weather conditions, the pulling plants from stock including offsite greenhouse which I visit usually only once a week. Plants are prepared for shipping which includes for most a day of hydrating followed by a day to allow plants to dry. Plants like Tillandsia and Vanda orchids need to be completly dry prior to boxing. Shipping damp in a warm dark place increases chance for fungus to develop. Recomend you always do preventative treatment on any plant shipped and then water throughly to rehydrate.
