Description: Old Paris Porcelain Louis Philippe Partial Dessert Service c.1830-1850.Round with ogee profiles, dome covers, pod & leaf bud finials, deep well plates. Comprising a tea/coffee pot & cover 8 1/2"h x 3 7/8" top dia; sugar jar & cover 7 1/2"h x 3 7/8" top dia; waste bowl 6 1/4" top dia x 3 1/4"h; 2 plates 9 3/8" dia.Relief vine-leaf-scroll design around shoulders & rims painted with striking flare in contrasting reds & blues. The leaves in light blue with dark blue definition on one-half & in pale orange with dark orange-red definition on the other half are joined by looping vines painted in rose Pompadour lined with dark red to the nadir of each loop & continue in pale orange lined with orange-red to the next leaf.Gilt borders & edges, finial, handles & spout. Natural wear mostly to the handles & finials & to the sugar jar rim; the rest is mostly very good. The lower teapot spout exhibits an inner reserved irregular border following the relief edge of the molding. The pot lid has been repaired, as shown. [The pot lid & sugar lid are the same size but the sugar lid is not pierced]. The inner lock tab on the pot lid is broken off. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines. But for the repaired lid the set is quite fine. H5580 All Items Are Sent Insured.
