Description: Beautiful Woodblock print by Japanese artist Ohara Koson (1877-1945), Night Heron on a Willow Branch. Framed in an older dark wood frame with painted black sides. The backing appears to have been updated much later than frame. Size: 13" by 13" by .5". Visible image is 9.5" by 9.25". Condition: In very good condition. Print has no spotting or tears. If you look closely at the print, you can see a faint horizontal line about 1" from bottom of print. I think the print has a very faint fold line there that has been mostly pressed out, but because light catches the slightest variation in depth, it catches the eye somewhat. I needed my magnifier to see it. When I first noticed it, I thought it was a variation in the background wash color, which it may. Very difficult for me to determine. It does not appear as a solid crease. There is some toning to raw edge of mat. The frame has no chips to wood. A few small rubs to black paint toward back close to wall. Print presents nicely.
