Description: Classic party or cocktail dress from J. Peterman. Very retro-glamor -- crossover draping at bodice. Invisible side-zip. Set-in waistband releases in box pleats to a full skirt for dancing. The tie at the waist is attached, i.e. not removable. The length is below the knee, mid-calf on many women, but NOT maxi length. The outer fabric is a fine, light weight linen-silk blend. IMHO, it feels like a light chiffon-y linen batiste. It is fully lined in a light 100% cotton material. The color is vivid raspberry pink, but not neon. If a photo looks lighter, or has variations in color, it is due to the flash. Please allow for differences in color display on different computer monitors. I try to describe it as accurately as possible, but such are my photography skills. Great dress to wear for cocktails, dancing, wedding, special dinner, etc.. Brand: J. Peterman. Size on the label: 8 Fabric: Shell: 65% linen, 35% silk. Lining: 100% cotton. Dry clean only. Condition: excellent -- new is new. No stains, tears, weird smells, etc. It has been carefully stored in a smoke-free, pet-free home. Never worn except to try it on. I love this dress style and the fab color, but I'm doing a good Kondo-style cleanout as I face a new lifestyle in retirement, and have other dresses to wear. I hope someone can enjoy this one. MEASUREMENTS: these are the measurements of the actual garment, measured with the garment laying flat, i.e. double for bust, waist, hips. It is best to compare to a garment that fits you well of a similar fabric and style. Shoulders, end-to-end at the top: approx. 14" Bust, armpit-to-armpit: 17 1/2", with maybe a little more with the bust draping Waist: 14" across the lower waist seam Hips, about 8" down from the natural waist: 22+" (quite free if the bodice fits you) Bodice, from center-top shoulder to lower waist seam: 17" Skirt, from lower waist seam to hem: 27" Overall length: center-top of shoulder to hem: 44" Sweep at the hem: 44" (i.e. very full - plenty of room for dancing or high kicks) PLEASE ASK ANY QESTIONS IN ADVANCE AS I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS.
