Description: -You are ordering this vintage, industrial advertising cannister / shipping container.-Originally designed to protect 16" stainless steel wire coils for shipping.-Features the name and logo of the Branford Wire & MFG. CO. which used to be based at 222 Universal Drive, North Haven, Connecticut, 06473.-The maker of the piece is Greif Bros. Corporation, East Coast Division based out of Westfield, Massachusetts. -Writing on the lid shows that 16" stainless steel coils were delivered to Rome Specialty Company, 311 North Jay Street, Rome, New York, 13440 and weighted 149 pounds gross. -Large, cylindrical cannister, measures approximately 16.5" tall and has a diameter of 20.5" tall.-Very clean for age and previous travels. From an eastern North Carolina estate. Not likely many of these were saved or have survived in as good a condition. -Perfect industrial décor piece. -Perfect collectible for anyone associated with any of the identified companies in Connecticut, New York, or Massachusetts. -Shipping charge includes boxed shipping to the farthest US addresses on the west coast. If you are close to North Carolina, shipping may be less and I will commit to refunding any amount over my actual shipping cost.
