This mounting plate is designed to mount Power Steering Pump 198-104 on Gen III НЕМІ Engines. This special Sаginaw type II power steering pump produces the proper pressure & works with pulley 97-383 to operate the pump at the proper speed when used with the existing drive system on Gen III НЕМІ engines. The complete kit (part # 97-382) includes the power steering pump with reservoir, mounting plate, hardline adapter, and pulley. NOTE: Mounting bracket bolts onto the engine with 3 tapped holes on the front of the left side cylinder head (some vehicles came from the factory with electric power steering & may not have the 3 tapped holes in the front of the cylinder head).
