New Gods #9 10 (1972) Lot of 2 by Jack Kirby 1st Forager + S&K Manhunter reprint

Description: From 1972:The New Gods #9 features the first appearance of "The Bug" Forager as well as the first appearance of the All-Widow. Jack Kirby wrote and penciled this story, with Mike Royer inking. Kirby & Royer drew the cover. Also features a Golden Age Simon & Kirby Manhunter reprint from Adventure Comics #78 (1942). This comic is in Good / Very Good condition, due primarily to a piece out at the upper right-hand corner of the front cover. Please note the detailed picture. Otherwise the comic is complete. There are a few small moisture spots, see for example the lower right-hand corner of the front cover. Both staples are intact, free from rust, and are holding all pages and covers together. The New Gods #10 (1972) is the second part of the story: "Earth, the Doomed Dominion!" written and drawn by Jack Kirby and again inked by Mike Royer. Orion, Lightray and Forager appear in this issue, as does Mantis. This comic is complete in Good Plus condition. Both staples are intact, free from rust, and are holding all pages and covers together. What keeps this out of higher grade is a series of small stains on the front cover, most noticeably on Orion's chest and left arm, and directly below the letters D and S in the New Gods title logo.
