This featured specimen is an amazing all-natural, unpolished large Lightbrary/Cathedral Quartz specimen, one of its kind and it stands approximately 8” tall with a hexagonal base of 2” wide. Cathedral crystals are recognized by their "architectural” form, which bears a resemblance to multiple towers, like those of a castle or Gothic cathedral. These majestic quartz crystals have been given its name by the formation of cloudy white Quartz in which the large main crystal point is surrounded by smaller points which are embedded into the main crystal. This specimen has many outstanding properties and characteristics:1. This Cathedral Quartz tower is a Lightbrary, which essentially stands for “Light Library” and are said to house the Libraries of Light! Such specimens are special as they are often known for their distinct appearance and for their metaphysical property as the powerhouse of energy, especially this one which is unpolished and entirely natural. 2. This featured specimen is characterized by its large main point (8" tall) surrounded by other quartz points but instead of smaller ones, the 3 other ones that merged together with the main one are also quite tall – ranging from over 7” to 7.5” tall - with their signature and very identifiable chisel tip, pointed and uneven terminations – the termination of the crystal is flat at the top and not in the shape of a traditional point. It is truly a powerhouse indeed.3. Besides the 4 quartz points, there are two other points that are known as the “Penetrator/Manifestation” quartz within this Cathedral Quartz Tower specimen. "Penetrator" is a quartz point that grew into another point and “Manifestation” is similar to a “Penetrator” except that there is no entry point of the secondary crystal growth and the point is enclosed entirely within the crystal. Both are approximately 6.5” tall. One of the “Penetrator” quartz can be seen on one side of the specimen and the other “Manifestation” quartz is on the other side, both are attached to the taller ones.4. The crystals are transparent to translucent due to the natural impurities, as well as the gorgeous displays of natural occurring inclusions, including some crystalline planes within that exhibit strong double refraction which allows light to flow through and/or reflect upon it. Hence when held under light and at certain angles, you can see the beautiful luster, some rainbow hues, including the strong refraction. Additionally, in certain areas of the quartz, it also appears frosted– like they have a matte finish. 5. Their most unique characteristic is the striated crystal faces. There is a series of horizontal striations running up one or more sides of the crystals. Striations are parallel raised ridges or steps found on the lower faces of the Quartz crystals.6. Etching is another unique characteristic and they appear as markings on the exterior surface of this specimen where minerals have been washed away by hydrothermal water during its formation. Etchings are recognized by abrasions and/or intricate indentations, often forming patterns or textures. Very fascinating indeed. All these outstanding and breath-taking properties can only be fully appreciated in person as these elements are very difficult to capture in its entirely on camera. For such a large natural mineral specimen, it is not unusual to see some abrasions on the base and edges due to the excavation process. Overall, it is still an amazing specimen, sturdy and in good condition. With all the above outstanding qualities, this powerhouse lightbrary specimen certainly will not disappoint! A rare, complete and beautiful Lightbrary/Cathedral of its size, shape, form, and clarity, a powerhouse in its own right. It displays and shows very well and has a grand appeal; certainly, makes an excellent specimen for mineral collectors, as well as a powerful healing tool for healers, channelers, transmitters. It can be yours for $108 plus shipping and handling. Note: **All specimens are taken in natural and regular lighting only.
