North, London, UK, 1959.Ian Morris West (1924-2015) was a passionate collector of Native American Indian objects. He was friends with Edward H. Blackmore (1898-1983), the foremost authority of Native American Indians in the UK, and Dr. Colin Taylor (1937– 2004) a noted ethnologist on the subject. He had a museum at his home ‘The Forge’ in Sussex. He wrote ‘Portraits of Native Americans’ published by Salamander Books in 1997.Dimensions: 42cm long, the head 13.8cm x 5.8cm diameter at widest Weight: 425gms Condition: The head is loose on the shaft and the points have some wear (see photographs).
