Description: Up for bid is a named Andersonville POW Civil war grouping belonging to a Union cavalry soldier who was captured during Sherman’s march to the sea and sent to the notorious confederate Andersonville POW camp. He was captured in battle of Browns Mill during a Federal cavalry raid. This group consists of a 1863 civil war book called the American Rebellion. A 1890’s Copy of life and deeds of General Sherman. Books are in poor condition but complete. 1865 federal discharge papers. State of Iowa discharge papers, and Federal pension papers. All items are named. I am also including the research that I have acquired on the veteran and the battle that he participated in.
