One of only 40 built! This limited edition Gibson Hummingbird 12-string is a rare bird to say the least. Gibson didn't really produce any 12-string except for an LG-2/B-25 model and a heritage model. This 12-string is made from the usual Hummingbird recipe of a dreadnaught shape with mahogany back and sides, Sitka spruce top, mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard with a scale length of 628 mm. It has a bigger nut-width to accommodate for the six extra strings, measures 48mm and in combination with the round neck profile gives the player a very comfortable playing experience. The sound builds on the bluesy Gibson six-string sound with the shorter scale and warm and earthy mahogany tone, but this 12-string has a much broader sound with prominent mids, high end sparkle and 12-string jangle. This 12-string is a pure blues machine and shows every nuance of playing and attack. It is a bit dryer and makes you work more for it, but when you do it is totally worth it. This guitar is in minty shape with light pickguard marks, and a couple light indents and marks, rated at 9.5/10. All original and free of any breaks, cracks or repairs.
