Description: Here I have for sale a beautiful 1st American edition of The Terrorists by Maj Sjowall and Per Wahloo, their last Martin Beck mystery in a series of 10 published throughout the 60s and 70s. It is hardcover with dust jacket and published by Pantheon in 1976. It is translated from the Swedish by Joan Tate. Beautifully written crime procedural by this husband and wife team, they are often credited with introducing the world to Scandinavian Noir. I read the series following detective Martin Beck as my own introduction to Scandi Noir and have never looked back and still haven't found a more beautifully written crime procedural series. The book is VG+++ to Near Fine. Tight binding, clean boards and gilt and clean unmarked pages except for a small blue price sticker on front endpaper. Slight cant to spine. The dust jacket is also VG+++ to Near Fine with marvelous illustration by James Barkley. Two really tiny chips, tiny closed tear on rear top panel edge and some mild scuff along the spine edge.
