Description: I have for sale a metal container with applicator for one of Lydia E. Pinkham's medications. Lydia Estes Pinkham of Lynn, Massachusetts was an American inventor & marketer of a herbal-alcoholic "women's Tonic" for menstrual & menopausal problems which medical experts dismissed as a quack remedy. The Lydia E. Pinkham medicine company was established in 1875. The metal container looks to be nickel plated, it is 2 inches long and 1 5/8 inches wide at the widest point & its in a high-grade circulated condition. It has a screw top applicator, see photos. On the container it reads LYDIA E. PINKHAM'S - VEGETABLE COMPOUND - HERB MEDICINE - PILLS FOR CONSTIPATION - SANATIVE WASH. On the back it has the letters LEP inside a circle.
