Description: The photos offered in this sale measure 4 x 6. They are reprints of the original photos that I owned twenty years ago which I sold at a Christie auction. The originals were gelatin prints and I recently rediscovered these on a disk and had prints made from this disk. All were made at photo lab, not printed on my home printer so quality is very good The photos illustrate various Sioux Indian Chiefs and family members. I was only able to identify 5 of the photos so far. Most were taken around 1890 I believe in Cincinnati when there was a gathering of many of the Sioux tribe for a special event. From my memory, I believe these were taken by Enno Meyer. , Others featured but not identified are Iron Shell, Head Chief Of Sioux Nation, Spotted Owl, Horse Dog Squaw, and Saw a half breed interpreter Additional info, Little Bald Eagle was later killed in 1898 at Santiago. He was a large man, standing at 6ft 2in
