Description: I picked this bag up in Florence a bunch of years ago -- one of those little places down around Piazza della Repubblica, if memory serves, and it's served me very well since. I've used it to carry a 15" laptop, which fits just fine -- laptop in the back compartment, papers and such in the middle section, and mouse and power adapter in the pockets up front. There's also an inner zippered compartment, accessible from front or back, for things you want to keep more private. The flap over the top is weighty enough to keep things covered most of the time, but you can also use the two magnetic clasps to tighten things up for a bit more security. Overall, I'd call it about 18" x 13" x 5". The (adjustable) shoulder strap is about 1 3/4", and distributes the weight of your stuff well. It's a very solid bag; I actually hate to let it go. I think it can be safely called "handmade" -- not that tools weren't involved, but I can't believe that hundreds of these were being cranked out of a sweatshop every day. The leather is nicely pebbled and finished, and has the odd bit of patina here and there, just enough to give it some character. What it really needs, of course, is someone to help build up that patina, and make it into a real classic. Like... you?
