This Easton Press printing is a loose recreation of the 1893 edition (hence this series is called Famous Editions) with its iconic cover, and beautiful illustrations within which were created by Aubrey Beardsley. A little oversized and chunky. A wonderful edition to collect.Condition: Leather is bright with only light sign of shelf wear. Light marr to gilt page ends. There is a slight halo effect on a blank intro page where I have cleanly and carefully removed a former book plate (photo 3 to the right and down from my military challenge coin which I posted both for context and to help my camera focus on the blank page. My military challenge coin is not included in the sale). There is no scuffing of the page and soon forgotten in my opinion. I only have a few of these books with the former owner bookplate, or a removed bookplate and I always mention if there has been one and if it shows. Almost none of my store's other books came from this collection. I rarely take them in and I always try to notice and mention significant flaws.
