Description: Large Cut Glass Footed Pedestal Punch Serving Bowl Bohemia 12in 8lbs Initials AR FREE SHIPPING (Well Packed, See Reviews) While this piece may be customized, or the AR could be some kind of backstamp/makers mark, I'm starting the price at around what others of very similar / the same cut have sold for. It's HEAVY, it's BIG, it's Beautiful, it feels sharp and significant. The clear sections that are uncut are VERY clear, some type of polishing or acid wash to achieve this. Its not pressed, its a very nice piece of high end CUT glass. Yes the glass is Crystal, it refracts light heavily indicating metals were used in the process, most likely lead. Condition: Used: may be customed with the initials "AR" on the top of base, or this could be a makers mark of some kind. Other than that its in very good, but used condition. It looks great but will have minor issues like general wear and some of the really jagged cuts, like the sawtooth rim is not going to be perfect and have minor chips. Please see all photos for further reference. This piece does not glow much at 365nm. There is some green but I believe it stems from the fusing of the stem, base, and bowl and not the actual glass. I wanted to rule out American Brilliant Glass, and narrowed it down to Eastern Europe. I'm not sure when it was made, but I think its safe to assume it's heavily leaded. PRICE too HIGH?
