Description: Reduced from $95 This is a vintage Midcentury lamp with a kneeling Arabian or genie figure who is holding a pot or basket in his left arm. There is an illegible maker's mark on the base. I believe that this mark and the figure itself are pretty rare. It is 12" high to the top of the turban, 23" high to the top of the finial. Finial and harp included in sale. Bulb is NOT INCLUDED in sale. I am not sure but I think this lamp takes a one way bulb. It came with an old 75 watt bulb and was working when plugged in. Dates to about the late 1940's to mid 1950's. Condition is good for a piece that is over 70 years old. Chalkware is fragile, and there are a few chips on the base and some light scratches and scrapes, typical of vintage chalkware. There is a flake in the color off the right heel of the gold slipper. There is also some light overall soiling, especially on the rim of the pot.Small ding on finial. It is not recommended to use water to clean chalkware, since it is porous. Comes from a NYC estate. Sold AS IS. 9749, 9779
