About The ProductThis is a clear oil-based gilder’s adhesive (size) for fast leaf work. It provides excellent durability, flexibility and open time for interior and exterior gilding applications. It may also be used as a clear protective top coat over lettering and other decorative work. Where time permits, see our L.A. Gold Leaf Slow Set Oil Based Gilding Size for burnishing and greater brilliance. Directions The surface to be gilded must be thoroughly clean, dry, and made smooth as possible by sanding and filing. Surface preparation and priming is important to achieve the proper adhesion between the substrate and the metal leaf. Apply this product at packaged consistency. If thinning is necessary, use mineral spirits. Use Caution!📙 Warning: COMBUSTIBLE!
