Description: A scarce, mint John Jenkins Club offering from their Battle on the Monongahela 1755 series in the wider French and Indian War range. This depicts Captain Robert Stewart of the Virginia Regiment, who commanded the company of Light Horse on that ill-fated expedition. Stewart survived the battle and would later have the curious distinction of maintaining two separate ranks, as a Major (later Lieutenant Colonel) in the Virginia Regiment and Lieutenant in the 60th Royal Americans. He was also a close friend of George Washington. This Club set was made to order and as such is #153 of only 332 made. It is in mint condition and comprises two figures. The box is in very good condition (with blemishes) and the certificate is included. This was part of a large collection that was stored in a pet and smoke free, climate controlled facility. Domestic Shipping is $7. I do combine shipping so please view my other auctions! For International buyers, this item is available via eBay International Shipping.
