Description: Jimmy Helms Jimmy Helms SEALED LP 1969 USA Oracle Records ORS-702 (stereo) SEALED condition Soul artist Jimmy Helms issued his first single, ' Ragtime Girl ', on Pye Records in the UK. In 1968 he became a regular on the Merv Griffin show, signing up for a string of 13 appearances. In 1973, he achieved one-hit-wonder status with the Godfather inspired single ' I'm Gonna Make You an Offer You Can't Refuse '. In the late 1980s he scored a number of hits as a member of Londonbeat . This rare 1969 LP was the second release by the small Boston-area label Oracle Records, which issued just three LPs before being taken over by Capitol Records. In fact, rumor has it that this LP was withdrawn and never received a proper release. The album features covers of the Beatles (Hey Jude, Got To Get You Into My Life ) and The Doors ( Light My Fire ).
