Description: Jasco RI-4030 differential refractive index (RI) detector for use in liquid chromatography systems at flow rates up to 120 mL/minute for HPLC or even preparative-scale applications. The RI-4030 includes an optical system mounted in a precise temperature-controlled housing to eliminate the influence of changes in ambient temperature, and they feature an LED light source with a long lifetime (over 10,000 hours) for low maintenance. Flow cell volume is 10 microliters, and the cell thermostat temperature range is 25-60 degrees Centigrade. Refractive index range is 1 - 1.75 RIU, with linearity of 5 x 10-5 - 5 x 10-3 RIU and signal-to-noise ratio of less than or equal to 0.2 x 10-8 RIU. Modular, stackable design readily compatible with certain other Jasco components and some of other brands, depending on dimensions, footprint, etc. Temperature control equilibrates to use levels on both the detection loop and the reference loop within 1 hour of startup. Jasco 4000-series components have built-in GMP/GLP compliance features to aid in verification of system suitability prior to, during, and after use. Used module has very minor exterior scuffs (see photos for actual physical condition, these are not retouched) which do not affect system performance.
