Description: American Brilliant Cut glass by J. Hoare & Company. The dish is a nappy and measures 2 1/2" high at the handle, total length of 6 5/8", and 5 1/8" across this widest point. The mark is: J. Hoare & Co. 1853 Corning. A stunning piece with no cracks. I have photographed a chip which is located on the bottom of the nappy. I find no other defects. I am not an expert, and have described this item to the best of my abilities.
