Description: These books describe and illustrate a wide variety of arrowheads of North American origin. Wonderfully illustrated with black and white drawings - along with scholarly explanations of each. One of the coolest things about this set I think - in later years Greg Perino produced a masterful 3 volume hardcover set - in that set he used the exact same format that he used here in these earlier volumes. (BTW - I own a number of artifacts identified as from the 'Bell' site - Bell was the editor of the first 2 volumes in this set.) These books are from the private library of Robert (Bob) Hruska - noted archaeologist, museum curator, historian and collector from Wisconsin. Each of these volumes has Bob's special bookplate in them. Bob passed away in 2014 at the age of 84. I am proud to be able to call him my friend. Size of each of these books is 11" x 8 1/2". Approx 100 pages in each volume. This listing is for four original, complete softcover books. Free shipping to any of the 50 U.S. states. GUIDE TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF CERTAIN INDIAN PROJECTILE POINTS Volumes 1 through Volume 4. Volumes No. 1 and No. 2 prepared by Robert E. Bell, and then No. 3 and No. 4 prepared by Gregory Perino. Published by the Oklahoma Anthropological Society Tulsa Oklahoma. Volume No. 1 1958 (This copy Fifth Printing 1965), Volume No 2. 1960 (This copy Second Printing 1964, Volume No. 3 1968 (first edition), and No. 4 1971 (first edition). Overall condition is very good. No interior markings or staining. No library markings. No torn or bent pages. All text and illustrations clean and clear. Covers, spine and bindings all decent. Biggest defect on these is that on 2 of the volumes the plastic binding is degrading and missing some pieces. See photos please. Returns accepted with full refund if you are not satisfied. (You would need to pay return shipping.) Sorry, no sales to Canada or anywhere other than 50 U.S. states. Books will be well packaged and shipped at my cost.
