The plans/scale drawings are of the Imperial Japanese Navy Aircraft Carriers: Akagi; Hiryu; Shokaku; Junyo; and Unryu. Plans for a number of Destroyers are also included: Hatakaze; Yakaze; Minazuki; Hatsuyuki; Ushio; Akatsuki; Ariake; Arashio; Nowaki; Yugumo; Okinami; Shimakaze; Akizuki; Take; Tachibana; and Harusame. Finally, there are two plans for the Submarines I-35 and I-68. This boxed set of plans/scale drawings were offered as part of the KOJINSHA MARU IMPERIAL JAPANESE WARSHIPS OF WORLD WAR II series, 14 volumes on the IJN with two follow-on sets of ship plans – this is the final set of ship plans in that series. Fold-out plans/scale drawings are provided for 23 IJN vessels ranging from 1/168 to 1/390 scale and show the vessels as they appeared as early as 1931 but most from the 1940s war years. The plans are double-sided; some ships are afforded plans on both sides of the sheet; others, just one-half of one sheet. The sheets are 19.5 x 18.5 inches folded out; and they fold down to a more manageable 7.25 x 9.75 inches. All data is in Japanese except for the name of the vessel which is in Japanese and English. All plans, along with a short booklet, are encased in a strong cardboard sleeve. Condition of all plans and the accompanying booklet is LIKE NEW; the protective cardboard sleeve in which they are inserted is in GOOD+ condition with light shelf wear.
