The item has a tag although the tag has fallen off its hanger. The tag reads in part as follows: IDEAL EQUESTRIAN. MASTER CRAFTSMEN IN SADDLERY-HARNESS. ART NO. WD-1707. SIZE. FULL. This item retails for over $285.00 online. We believe that this item was made within the last 5-10 years. The breeching has a tan/yellow colored padded area with rolled sides for comfort. The tan/yellow pad measures roughly 2 3/16” wide. The black leather band attached to the padded area measures roughly 1 7/16” wide. The breeching measures roughly 51 1/2” in length not including the steel rings. The steel rings measure roughly 2 9/16“ in diameter. The rings were attracted to a magnet when tested which is why we believe they are steel. The buckles/pins throughout the set appear to be made of nickel but may be stainless steel. None of the buckles/pins were attracted to a magnet when tested. Some stainless steel material is not attracted to a magnet which is why we are unsure as to whether they are made of nickel or steel. The breeching has 2 hip strap buckles attached to the steel rings and 2 hip strap buckles attached to the body of the breeching. The hip straps have 5 holes on both ends, The hip straps measure roughly 54 1/2” in length not including the attached hip strap buckles or straps. The hip straps also measure roughly 1” wide and 1/8” thick. The breeching straps measure roughly 46 3/8” in length including the buckles and are roughly 1/8” thick. The trace carriers measure roughly 9 1/2” in length when buckled in position. The metal components have wear, fading, scratches, nicks, and dirty and/or dusty areas. The leather has scratches, nicks, dings, dusty and/or dirty areas, manufacturing imperfections, and normal shelf/storage-type wear. The combined weight of the breeching set is roughly 4 lbs 6 oz.
