Description: Original 1st Pressing In Mono From 1959 On Blue Note Records. Both Sides Have The Classic Blue Note Label w/“47 West 63rd • NYC” Rim Text. Both Sides Have Deep Groove Ring & Both Runouts Have “RVG” Stamp & “P” Etched. This One Is Hard To Grade But Here We Go. Side 1-Has One Superficial Scuff That Should Be Visible In Photo But Doesn’t Effect Playback. Something Bad Happened To “Juicy Lucy” Rendering That Track Unplayable. Looks Like It Was Hit w/A Soldering Iron. Heartbreaking But Reality Often Is. Good News Is The Other 3 Tracks On Side 1 Play Strong w/Minimal Noise Easy(VG+). Side 2-Looks Great & Has No Real Issues Worth Note. Sounds Great As Many Deep Groove Blue Notes Do(VG++). If Both Sides Looked Like This We’d Have A Primo Copy But Instead We Have 7 Out Of 8 Tunes Of A True Classic. On To The Cover, Let’s Just Say Melvin Moon Has Taken Some Liberties And/Or Has Some Weird Writing On Records Fetish. I Don’t Back It But That Doesn’t Change Things. See Photos Perhaps You May Like Mr.Moon’s Handwriting. Taped, Written On Etc But All There(G). Besides The Cover & One Tune This Is A Pretty Nice Copy.
