Description: Offered here is " His Holiness: John Paul II and the Hidden History of Our Time " by Carl Bernstein and Marco Politi, published by Doubleday in 1996. This copy is signed by the author, Carl Bernstein. This edition includes a few black and white photographs. This hardcover book is in Good Plus condition. The book has red and cream quarter-bound covers, with gilt titles along the spine. The spine is creased and has a 2 mm mark, with bumping at the head and tail. The cream cloth quarter-binding is chipped, resulting in loss of material in two small areas on the front board. There is minor edge wear along the bottom of the book only. The book block has foxing along the top and center block, and faint staining on the bottom. There is a name and date written in blue ink on the page where the author's other works are listed. All other pages are clean, unmarked, and tightly bound. This book also comes included with its original unclipped dust jacket which is in Good Plus condition. The jacket has some shelf and edge wear, including a small crease at the head of the spine. There is a gold sticker on the front indicating "autographed copy". The original pricing has been crossed out with black ink on the back of the dust jacket and on the inside front flap. There is faint staining along the top edge of the interior dust jacket.
