Description: BEAUTIFUL antique, Art Deco ornate sterling silver and purple color change sapphire ring, size 5 3/4, sizable. This stunning ring is 3/4” wide and weighs 5.3 grams. It features a gorgeous, 12 mm faceted round purple lab created color change sapphire prong set at center and framed with a wonderful, dimensional, open work design that extends to a solid, highly polished sterling silver underside and shank. This ring is in really wonderful condition, considering its age. I could find no damage other than minor oxidation. This ring is not signed, but it has been professionally tested as solid sterling silver. The color change sapphire has been examined and verified by a certified gemologist. These stones test as sapphire. They were created to represent the rare alexandrite stones that were found in Russia that have similar color change properties. This particular stone does have a color change that occurs in different light sources. It varies from bright to deep purple or blue with red highlights. This is a particularly lovely ring.
