This being the forth stereotype edition, revised, corrected and improved. Printed in 1834 in Canadaigua, New York by Morse & Harvey. Extremely SCARCE early American math book, with the few in existence being held in special/rare book collections devoted to early American math books, according to WORLDCAT. No record of copies available in the trade, through auctions or otherwise. Text unmarked, minor foxing, but mostly incredibly clean and clear. This copy is particularly exciting due to the exquisite rebinding. Rebound in gorgeous full leather with thoughtful gilt blindstamping to cover, and with matching custom DJ stamped to match and beautiful custom slipcase. Gorgeous marbled endpapers as well. The fine binder signed the inside cover, but I cannot decipher their name... anyway, it was someone with a great sense of the craft, and they did an amazing job of this. Unique book, rare and special.
