Description: For your consideration, a gorgeous antique silk brocade ribbon with ormolu appliqué and gold metal fringe, likely late 18th to early 19th century French. I suspect the ribbon is 18th century and the ormolu mount and fridge are later empire period additions. The piece is in overall good antique condition with some scuffing and gilding loss to the ormolu appliqué, tarnishing to the metal wire fringe, and some fading to the silk ribbon, particularly by the fringed end. There is mild fraying at the edges of the ribbon but no major stains, tears, or holes. The initials CD are written in ink on the back side of the ribbon at both ends. The ormolu appliqué is very high quality. **Signature required for delivery.** Measures 59 inches in total length including appliqué and fright and 2 11/16 inches in width.
