Neferneferuaten Nefertiti, Egypt’s most famous queen, was the wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten, an Eighteenth Dynasty ruler, and step-mother of King Tut. The hieroglyphics tell their story; a translation card is included. ~ One owner purchased in Eqypt, circa 1990’s. still in original plastic packaging. Papyrus sheet is approximately 17.25”H x 13”W. Can be trimmed for framing; actual painted image measures 12.75”H x 10.5”W ~ A process that dates back thousands of years, Papyrus paper is handmade in Egypt from the inner stem of the finest Cyperus Papyrus plants. The sheets are formed by arranging strips side by side in two cross layers, then soaking them in water for six to twelve weeks. The natural colors develop in water and become darker the longer it soaks.
