Description: Hi all! This is a Top Quality Anterior Caudal Vertebrae from a small unknown Crocodyliform from the Cretaceous of Morocco! The vertebrae measures 1.54 inches (3.9 cm) tall, 1.22 inches (3.1 cm) wide, and 1 inch (2.55 cm) long with a fantastic process! The only damage is a few repaired breaks and some chips. It comes in a double sided clear case with a stand for easy transport and a beautiful display! In what is now Africa from about 100.5 to 93.9 million years ago there where an astonishing number of Crocodyliform species. They would have resembled modern crocodiles and operated similarly. These species ranged in size from not much larger than a person to over 30 feet long! They lived in a truly nightmarish neighborhood, living alongside 25 foot sawfish, venomous sharks, enormous long neck sauropods, and giant carnivorous dinosaurs like Spinosaurus that likely preyed on these crocodiles even at larger sizes! This particular specimen likely came from a medium size crocodyliform very similar in size to modern Crocodiles! All of my items come with a Certificate of Authenticity!
