The bottom caption reads: Syd Edwards del Pub. by T. Curtis, St. Geo Crescent June 1, 1803 F Sansom sculp The first 30 volumes of Curtis Botanical Magazine, originally titled simply The Botanical Magazine, used copper plate engravings. One volume was issued per year and consisted of 12 monthly issues, each with 3 plates. Sydenham Edwards and James Sowerby were early illustrators for the magazine, which published what was often the first authoritative botanical description of a particular plant species. The circulation was typically 3000 for the early issues. It's still published by the Royal Botanical Society, which changed the name to The Kew Magazine from 1984 to 1994.
