Description: This tin toy Climbing Monkey was made in China by TX and is a nice working reproduction of a 1960's toy. I have had it in my collection since 1998 so this item is over 25 years old, and it is in very nice condition with just a few light scuffs on the litho. When the string is held vertically and the bottom end is pulled down, the monkey scampers up the string. Releasing the tension will cause the monkey to climb back down. A clever little toy that looks good and works well. The original box is also clean and undamaged. Dimensions: The monkey is approx 8.5" from nose to tail. The string can be extended to about 24".
