Description: Up for sale is a nice SERVICED example of a rare Kyoei-manufactured lens, the VOTAR 35mm f/3.5. This lens is was manufactured by the Legendary Kyoei corporation for VOTAR and is optically identical to the W.Kyoei Acall lens of the same specs. Liek many of the Kyoei Acall lenses, it is sought after these days for UV photography due to its good UV transmission. It features an 8 bladed preset aperture and m42 universal screw mount. Unlike some other lenses spuriously sold as Kyoeis on eBay, this one can be securely as an actual Kyoei manufacture by its serial number beginning in "K" and its exterior styling including characteristic wedge-shaped infinity marker. Lens is in nice vintage condition with light-moderate handling wear. Front coating has a few minor cleaning marks, and one of the front elements has a bubble (from factory, as is relatively common in lenses of this vintage). Free of deep glass scratches/haze/fungus. Additionally, this lens has been fully disassembled and CLAed (Cleaned/Lubed/Adjusted) with interior optical cleaning and helical and aperture relube for ultimate performance! This lens features the very versatile m42 screw mount, which can be used natively on older screw mount-SLR cameras by Pentax, Praktica, etc. and can be adapted for use on most popular Film SLR, DSLR, and mirrorless formats with a glassless adapter (see chart below for digital compatibility).
