Description: CIVIL WAR Era CDV Cartes de Visite of Union Major GENERAL Joseph HOOKER by BradyOffered for sale is this wonderful vintage CDV Cartes de Visite of Major General Joseph Hooker (November 13, 1814 – October 31, 1879). Published by E&H.T. Anthony from Brady's Photographic Negative. Hooker was a career United States Union Army Officer, he achieved the rank of Major General in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He served throughout the Conflict. Best remembered for his defeat by Confederate General Robert E. Lee at the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863. There is an abrasion on the left side of the print, does not impact on the image. Mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Otherwise overall good condition.
