Description: Here's an antique porcelain advertising salt shaker from the famous C.D.KENNY CO store chain that was based out of Baltimore....it has DRINK & ENJOY KENNY'S TEAS & COFFEES C.D.KENNY CO. printed on front...colorful hand painted Japanese women with pagoda, flowers etc around the shaker... JAPAN on bottom....3"tall....round with shaker holes on top....cork in filler hole on bottom......Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean shaker.....Cornelius David Kenny opened his first store in Baltimore in 1872. The company had their own brand of coffees,teas, sugar, spices, rice, baking soda, etc. C.D.Kenny had a chain of retail stores throughout the South mainly, but also in Ohio, Pennsylvania,etc. They had many different little advertising giveaways to promote the stores ..
