Description: This 1965 stereo LP from Columbia Masterworks (OS 2350) is a repressing of the 1963 release, featuring the original Broadway cast of Candide, based on Voltaire's satire. Featured performers include Max Adrian, Robert Rounseville, Barbara Cook and Irra Petina. Album notes are in English by George Dale. Also included are several photocopies, including reviews of the work from the May, 1959 and July, 1982 editions of The Gramophone, plus a three-page foldout photocopy (four photocopies spliced together) of the inner gatefold notes from a library edition of the 1974 2-LP release (Columbia Masterworks S2X 32923).
