(The glass was broken and the frame in poor condition.)Upon removing the collage from the frame it suffered some tears along the top. The collage is securely mounted on a board (looks like masonite or similar) and likely cannot be removed from the backing . The measurements given are of the board. The paper on which the collage was created is 8.75 in long x 7 in wide. There appears to be enough room to cut off the top 5/8 in and still leave enough of the collage visible in a frame. Or, not cut it at all and a mat board should suffice to cover the unsightly areas along the edges. The collage itself is in good condition, having been protected by glass for most of its life.
