Description: Atlas / Craftsman 10" & 12" Spindle Lock Wedge Block. OVER 200 Devices SOLD!!!!! Quality 3D printed Wedge Block used to remove stuck or tight chucks from these old lathes. The block works by grabbing 13 teeth (more teeth is better) and spreading the torque load out among those teeth to NOT damage a tooth when removing a chuck. The more teeth it has and the better the fit means it cannot just be slapped on the gear and work well. A precision fit mates with the gears and needs slipped in from the side to mesh with gear teeth or snapped in directly. If it fits easy, then ITS TOO LOOSE and could slip damaging your lathe!!! This part has dense infill optimized for maximum load in the direction tangent to the gear teeth and will last quite a while if not abused. Don't buy ones that look too thin or less infill density to hold up to the forces required to break a stuck chuck free. Fits 69 tooth spindle bull gear. Colors vary but are typically red, black or orange. If you have a specific color from that list leave it in the comments and I will do my best to TRY and accommodate if possible. Note: does not include lathe or any other shown parts, and is for one plastic spindle wedge as shown. Take a look at my other Atlas Craftsman lathe parts!!!!!
