If you have a free flow mattress you can shake the mattress well and drain it. If you have a fiber bed mattress, be careful with agitation as this might bunch up the fiber, instead just press down on the mattress in a few places to agitate the water. If you need to drain a fiber bed mattress it is recommended to use an electric pump. A lot of rental places have these available. If you do not have access to an electric pump, you can use a venturi valve waterbed pump hooked up to your faucet to make a vacuum. After you get as much water out as you can use a shop vac to get an additional 5 to 10 gallons out. After your mattress is drained fill with fresh water and add your conditioner.
